Who am I?
I’m Courtney Holloway Montgomery, the mind behind The Cerebral Conservative Facebook group, a former Independent Women’s Forum Visiting Fellow and a political blogger.
Post-college, I taught history at a Christian school in Hawaii for five years. Later, I moved to Washington, D.C., for an internship with a faith-based, educational nonprofit. I eventually got a full-time position with the organization and spent the next four years or so working on C Street and gaining an insider’s view of conservative groups inside the Beltway.
As a Black woman married to a white law enforcement officer, I have a unique take on Republican politics.
“Nothing’s finer than South Carolina,” my home state. I love Jesus, my husband, politics, travel, shopping and trying new restaurants.
